Language creation typically requires years of effort. Sky's rapid development was enabled by AI-assisted programming – beginning with Gemini CLI, then transitioning to Claude Code, which aligned with my workflow and allowed swift iteration on compiler architecture. I designed the language semantics, processing pipeline, FFI strategy, and Live architecture; AI tools enabled execution at a pace that would have been unattainable alone.
